In addition, we currently have 5 potential breeding females who may have litters in 2026 — a promise of even more lives that can be transformed in the years ahead.

 

Each assistance dog we train represents a significant and intentional investment. For 2026, the average cost to raise, train, and place one dog is $40,000. This amount reflects the comprehensive care and preparation required to ensure both the well-being of the dog and its effectiveness as a highly trained assistance partner.

 

Here is how those costs are allocated per dog:

 

Veterinary Care – $3,000

Vaccinations, regular health examinations, and unforeseen medical treatments to ensure optimal health from puppyhood through placement.

 

Food and Care Supplies – $3,000

High-quality nutrition, grooming, toys, accessories, and daily essentials that support healthy development.

 

Specialized Training – $5,000

Intensive sessions with external professional trainers, including learning specific tasks designed to assist women in real-life situations and moments of vulnerability.

 

Equipment – $1,000

High-quality harnesses, leashes, and specialized gear required for safety, functionality, and effective assistance work.

 

Breeding-Related Expenses – $10,000
